Q: muscle pain?
been having dull dispersed muscle pain in my back. It spread from my neck and shoulder down to my hip and buttocks. It also makes my arm and leg feel very uncomfortable.
The pain is mainly on the left side of the body but i do get it also on the right side
following is a list of test I’ve run:
MRI of brain, neck, spine, and lower back and they all came back fine.
Blood tests including thyroid hormones and that came back fine also.
Other symptoms include:
-hand tremor
- muscle weakness
-anxiety
-minor headache with dull pain behind the eye on the same side of the pain
-shallow sleep.
Doctors seem that the pain is psychosomatic, Here are some of the medications i tried
painkillers: advil
deanxit (anti stress drug)
muscle relaxants ( norgesic, norflex, and legaflex)
antiinflamatory (xefo)
xanax (0.25 mg 3 times a day)
SSRI ( cymbalta)
cymbalta got my spirit up but i didn’t find pain relief yet! any help or feedback is appreciated
A: Patience and good record keeping. I went through a similar scenario. For years I was told most of my problems were in my head and that I had a host of things wrong with me. Nothing they did helped and it lead to depression and frustration. I finally did my own research. I also wrote down every thing I could remember from the beginning of time – as a child until present day. Every condition, every medication, every allergic reaction, every lab and test result. I found a new doctor and handed it to him. I also took the records from the doctor prior to him. When it was all looked at more tests were done and even the reason which led to a diagnoses being difficult was found. It turned out I have Lupus SLE. Lupus is difficult to diagnoses because it can often mask it self as other things and certain medication can also mask it. Unfortunately, autoimmune conditions are like this. What you are describing may very well be an autoimmune condition. Start doing some research and write down all you can remember and begin a new journal as well. Good luck.
Q: Muscle pain???
I feel a muscle pain on one point of my chest whenever I touch it. Yesterday there was this guy who punched me on the chest and we were having a fight, but then I did not really feel the pain after that.
What do you think caused the muscle pain? I am a teenage school boy who carried a dozen of books every day to school and my bag was so heavy!!! And I also carry laptop, files, binder, violin, etc. Moreover, recently I lack sports.
Is the muscle pain dangerous?
A: BAsed on your story…it might be a trauma due to the punch you received. Check whether you have hematoma or not.
Also , it can be attributed to heavy luggages you carry. Carrying such heavy loads might cause your muscle tissue to be tore. Try to have a locker in your school to leseen your load
Q: Muscle Pain?
So i worked out the other day and i now have much painful muscle sornes. I have to work tomorrow and i was wandering if anyone knows any crazy cures or anything to ease the pain.
A: Tylonol would be the best bet. Just take about 750 mg every 3 to 6 hours. Either that or if you can get a perscription for Tramadol it is a class 4 drug like tylonol or motrin. You can try icy hot, that works too.
Q: How can I reduce muscle pain so I can perform like Lance Armstrong?
Lance’s muscles don’t hurt when he pushes them to the limit, like normal people’s muscles do – that’s why he owned everyone at the Tour de France. So short of changing my DNA, is there a way to reduce this natural muscle pain?
A: Lance did NOT hurt less. He just managed his pain better. He knew how much pain he could take. The same was true of Greg LeMond. Read Armstrong’s book “It’s Not About The Bike.”
Watch cycling on VS network. You will hear every time how much pain these men and women go through.
And yes, everything that kills pain is illegal.
By the way, Lance has some of the biggest lungs in this world. He also had a resting heart rate in the low 30s.
Q: How do I get rid of muscle pain real quick?
My arm hurts alot from muscle pain. I have alot of homework, and when I try writing my arm hurts. Is there any way to get rid of this pain quickly?
A: yes,you may have to take a pain pill or take a break from all your work.
If it continues you should prefer a doctor.
Q: How to relieve pain from gouts and muscle pain?
My mom has started just yeasterday what looks like a gout on her left elbow and on her left foot. Combined with that she has a lot of muscle pain all over her body. Any advice on how to relieve the pain? Thanks!
A: Prescription drugs do help in treating your symptoms of aches and pains, but they are still drugs which in itself is the problem. By keeping your body pure, your body can focus on healing without having to first process chemicals, which are sliced and diced by the enzymes in your stomach, leaving very little of the effective ingredients still in tact. This breakdown of chemicals usually leads to a build up of toxins in the liver and essentially can begin poisoning your body over time–recent news headlines prove it.

Q: How do I ease muscle pain from repetitive work?
I’m 17, and I work as a Wal-Mart cashier (24 hours a week) and I go to school full time. I recently developed tennis elbow, and have muscle pain in my shoulders, upper, and lower back. What can I do to ease the tension on these muscles? I thought about a better mattress (I sleep on a futon), but I’m not sure what the best solution is. I have good posture, it’s just that carrying a heavy backpack and scanning/bagging hundreds of items a day is taking a toll on my back. Suggestions?
A: I agree that exercise will help this from re-occurring, but there is a product that will help with pain relief.
It’s called Bio Freeze (http://www.biofreeze.com/).
It was recommended to me by a massage therapist for muscle pain. A little goes a VERY LONG way.
Q: What causes joint and muscle pain in the legs?
I’ve had severe pain in the ankles, knees and hips – and muscle pain in the upper leg since May.
Vitamin D levels are okay.
Lupus tests negative
Thyroid levels normal
but parvo in February
Prescription NSAIDS bring no relief – need a referral to a specialist, but any ideas what this might be other than fibromyalgia?
I like to do a lot of research BEFORE seeing a doctor – you get all of 5 minutes of their time, so I’d like to know what’s going on so I can ask any important questions or give any helpful information.
A: Your leg pain may be claudication. Claudication is most often a symptom of peripheral arterial disease, a potentially serious but treatable circulation problem. Walking may actually become a key component of your treatment program — and a way to return to an active lifestyle.
In peripheral arterial disease, the arteries that supply blood to your limbs are damaged. This damage is often the result of atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis can develop in any of your arteries, especially those in your heart. When atherosclerosis affects your arms and legs, it’s called peripheral arterial disease.
Atherosclerosis makes arteries hard and narrow. That’s because the arteries get clogged with clumps of fat, cholesterol and other material, called atherosclerotic plaques. These plaques can make arteries so narrow that less blood can flow through them.
One of the classic symptoms of peripheral arterial disease is pain in the muscles of the legs, especially the calves. This pain is called claudication, also known as intermittent claudication. Claudication can also occur in the arteries of your arms. Claudication is sometimes considered a disease, but technically, it’s a symptom of a disease.
It’s very possible that its Fibromyalgia as well. Here is a brief list of common symptoms of this disease:
Chronic pain throughout the body
Burning, numbness and tingling
Tenderness when pressure is placed on or around the neck, elbows, hips, thighs and knees.
Sleep disorders
Chronic fatigue or exhaustion
Depression
Anxiety
Facial Pain
Jaw Pain (TMJ)
Memory Loss
Irritable Bowel
Tension or Migraine Headaches
High sensitivity to foods and medications (allergic type reaction).
Minimal tolerance to heat and cold
High sensitivity to bright lights and sounds
Hair Loss
Because symptoms develop gradually, this disease is often misdiagnosed. It is often diagnosed as a repetitive strain injury; sleep disorder condition, irritable bowel syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis or any other type of medical problem. Based on the American College of Rheumatology a person is diagnosed with Fibromylagia when he or she suffers pain throughout the body for at least three months and has 11 out of 18 tender points present.
I hope this helps.
Q: Something natural that I can take for muscle pain and pain related to bones during pregnancy?
I have a lot of back pain and muscle pain do to bad scoliosis and spondylolysis (two of the bones in my back didn’t grow together right), along with knee and shoulder pain from various dislocations, hyper mobility, and the curvature of my neck is faced in the wrong direction. I have a lot of pain daily and realize I won’t be able to take pain meds while pregnant. What else could I take? I would prefer something natural and it has to be pregnancy safe.
A: vit D is low test your thyroid levels and b12 an anemia tens unit, massage therapy
Q: How do I differentiate bone pain from muscle pain in a chronic pain situation in my feet?
I have had chronic pain in my feet since I can remember. I have had bone reconstruction surgery to lower the arch in my foot in the hopes that it would relieve some of the pain.
It did not work.
If I cut the circulation off to one of my feet and go numb, and that stops the pain – does that mean it was muscle or the bone that was the cause of the pain?
In otherwords – if I go numb, and the pain stops does that tell me anything about the source of the pain?
A: I’m afraid not. You’re numb because you’re pinching off a nerve. Nerves carry pain messages from both muscle and bone. Unless you know exactly which nerve your pinching, you can’t target the pain.
Q: How do i get rid of my muscle pain?
I workout alot so naturally i have horrible muscle pain. But it takes like 2 weeks for it to go away. I stretch like crazy and i know i’m doin the right stretches. Please help.
A: the best i can share with you is to try applying anticeptic gel to your body to relieve those muscle pains. i tried it and it worked for me. also ask your personal trainer for some practical advice as well.
Q: Why does muscle pain occur after having sport activities?
After having PE lessons with running, my legs will sometimes be painful. It is just like the muscle pain. However, after two days, it is cured. Why do my muscles get painful after doing sports? How can I relieve them?
A: ur muscles expand during dat period of time so keep running everyday dis can stop u prob.
Q: What is the best over the counter pain relief medication for middle back muscle pain?
I started running a drill press and I have to pull on a handle several thousand times a day and have been experiencing middle back muscle pain.
A: Pain relievers can’t address pain in a particular part of the body, so you can ignore any that make that claim. Any analgesic/anti-inflammatory such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen, or aspirin should work. Try them out to see which one is most effective for you.
Q: How do I get rid of muscle pain after a workout?
I started a workout program yesterday and I have TERRIBLE muscle pain, It was only a beginner level and lasted only 20 minutes. It hurts to sit down, yet alone move. What can I do to help get rid of this pain faster?
A: I’m using roller, I bought it from http://acupuncturehealing.info
This is a very useful little gadget which will easily fit in your manbag. It offers a simple solution to pain almost anywhere quickly and we would not be without one.
Q: What is the best prescription for chronic muscle pain?
I am on Flexeril 20 mg at night, Celebrex 200 mg, and Amitriptalyne 100 mg currently but still have drastic pain.
I have tried Skelaxin, Ultram, Gabapentin, Zanaflex, and Lyrica but none of these seemed to help except Lyrica. I was unable to stay on it however because it caused me to gain weight and made me extremely tired.
If anyone has chronic muscle pain please let me know what has helped you!
A: chronic marijuana. seriously, medical marijuana is prescribed to help people with chronic back, knee, and neck pain. it causes a release of dopamine in your brain, which is the body’s natural pain killer and acts as an endorphin.
you may or may not agree with me on this, but in my opinion there is nothing better for relief from pain than a couple tokes. a natural alternative to all those pills and their unappealing side effects!
