Q: Should I have pain on left side after partial abdominal hysterectomy.?
I had a p/a/hysterectomy appx. 2 weeks ago. At the end of unrination, I have pain in my left side. I thought it was a urinary tract infection, but to my surprise it is a mass near my eggs or fallopian tubes. Could this have been seen during the abdominal removal of my uterus? I have been reading online of tubes & colon connecting to each other, but why would it affect my urinating?
A: Only a DOCTOR can answer these questions.
Q: Throbbing pain in left side of the neck?
It started earlier today, it seems like every 15-20 seconds I get a pain on the left side of my neck. The pain is less when I dont move and keep still, but every 15-20 seconds it hurts for about 2 seconds and then it feels fine for another 15-20 seconds and then hurts again. Its a pretty strong pain, I’m getting a little worried. What should I do?
A: yes if this happens not to go away you may need to see a doctor. this may be something to do with a glandular fever. search it up on google for more information. this could also be from stress, depression, ETC.
Q: Pain in left side of stomach during running and jogging?
Recently I have been jogging and running at night when the time allows and I have noticed that a pain in my left side of my stomach occurs. A pain such as if someone punched me on the left side of my stomach. Obviously i’m sure you can relate to this pain if you go running right after you eat ut this pain occurs to me in every situation. Sometimes is comes right away and other times the pain is less but nevertheless is still there. How can I help this?
A: A “side stitch” is a sharp, intense pain under the lower edge of the ribcage caused by a muscle spasm of the diaphragm. Such pain can occur during vigorous exercise, such as running, and seems to occur more commonly in novice exercisers who have not yet established proper pacing and who tend to breathe more quickly and shallow. However, about 30% of all runners will experience stitches at some point. What exactly causes them? On inhalation, we take air into the lungs, pressing the diaphragm downward. When we exhale, the diaphragm moves up. If the body has some trapped air/gas below the diaphragm, if we’ve eaten too close to exercise, or if we start exercising too vigorously, the diaphragm may cramp, causing pain under the rib cage on the right side.
Q: Why do I have severe lower back pain on left side?
I am in my mid-30’s – very active and healthy. This area feels like it’s a bulging bump … and last night it was painful to walk and be on my feet – the pain radiated down and my left foot felt pins and needles. This has been hurting on and off for weeks now. What could it be? I do notice that it’s worse after I take my weekly boot camp class on Saturday mornings.
A: Maybe sciatica – see your doctor
Q: What does dark urine, pain in left side and down my legs especially my knees mean???
i went to work today and 5 min after i got there i had to come ohome cause i couldnt walk because of a sudden pain that came on my left side… Its now spread down to my legs and hurt majorly in my knees..does anyone know whats wrong with me??
A: You really should have gone right to an ER or urgent care facility based on the quick onset of your symptoms. From what you are describing it is possible that you are experiencing signs that you may have a kidney stone however no one can confirm that for you over the internet. You need to be seen by a qualified medical professional for evaluation and treatment. Hope you feel better soon!
Q: what is a sharp pain in left side in ribs?
my friend said she gets 2 pains. on in her ribs, and it hurts mostly on the left side and it feels like after you get punched in the stomach and it aches but the other pain is closer to her stomach and she said it feels like a metal stick moving. its a sharp pain. what is it? is it serious?
A: I had something similar. Thought I was going to die from the pain. Couldn’t move a lot. Went to the hospital and everything. got there and after laying for a while( because the doctors couldn’t find something wrong) I released gas. It was embarrassing but I felt much better. Q: Sharp pain in left side of my right knee?
Yesterday during my indoor soccer game, towards the middle of it i started feeling pain coming from the left side of my right knee. It was tolerable and I could feel it the most when I was running. Now, moving my leg in certain positions gives me very sharp pain here, what could it be?
A: It could possible be a meniscus tear, or the start of one. Make a appointment with your doctor to be safe. Soccer often uses the knee a lot causing wear and tear. If you wait the pain could grow to were you will not even be able to kick and soccer ball, and trust me, if you love soccer that feeling is one you don’t want to feel.
Q: anxiety chest pain left side always tight?
I have been having tightness in left pec region. I have had 2 ekgs, a chest xray, and blood test, all of which came back normal.
I have had this tightness in my chest for 10 months now, it is chronic. Every doctor I have seen tells me there is nothing physically wrong with me. They told me to see a phyhcatrist. They make me feel like don’t even care. I ‘am worried sick about this pain. Does anybody have this, and recommend anything. Thanks:) Amy
I’am on Zoloft 50mg. Also does anyone have or had chronic chest pain, due to anxiety. Please help.
A: panic and anxiety attacks can create heart type symptoms.i know from exp…….if dr you trust have ruled out physical, plez try psychiatric intervention…a good psychologist/therapist may help…if severe, meds may be appropriate.after 20 plus yrs w these attacks i had one that sent me by ambulance to er and a battery of tests…to confirm a panic attack
Q: Really bad stitch-like pain in left side at 31 weeks pregnant?
This morning I woke up at 4am with stabbing pains on the left side of my belly. Not lower abdominal area where you would expect round ligament pain, but right down my left side – more like where you get the stitch. They come on suddenly and then go completely but really hurt and I can’t help feeling a bit worried…I can’t go back to sleep. Does anyone have any idea what this could be and if it’s normal?
A: I had a very similiar pain and was eventually told, after I had a urine test for a kidney or urinary infection that came back clear, that it was just the ligaments and muscles. I had been picking up and carrying my 22 month old and had simply done some damage in doing that.
Of course, if it’s really painful, you should try and see a doctor asap to rule out infection or something else, but try not to stress as it’s probably nothing and you’ll just have to take it easy.
Q: I have pain in left side of chest under left breast hurts to breathe, lessens with pressure to chest cavity?
I am gonna go to the doctor as soon as possible, does it sound like a heart attack? Each breath I could barely breathe without the pain, please give help personal or other.
A: Are you having a loss in sensation on your whole left side…then possible heart attack
but I had that problem where I bruised by side from coughing too much which made it difficult to breath…took a long time to heal
In my case it helped to put a warm heating pad on the spot for a while, take it easy and tylenol for pain…that’s the the nurse practionener told me to do and it slowly healed
Q: what’s up with the lower back pain on left side?
I have a horrible pain in the lower left side of my back and I don’t know why. At first I thought it was because I slept on it funny, but it aches so bad that I am really nauseous. I tried stretching it out, but nothing seems to relieve the pain. I would try taking advil, but I am afraid that that would only make me more nauseous.
A: muscle pull
or gas
or possibly ovary problem
Q: Really bad stomach pain on left side. I have been diagnosed with IBS?
I recently had an energy drink and it hit me bad. I am in severe pain on my left side and I usually take a buscopan and it sometimes works. I have no buscopan right now so i was wondering if anyone knows anything similar to take.
A: Chamomile and a Gas-X…
Q: really sharp pain on left side of cheest when breathing in?
for the last half hour or so i have had really really sharp and painful pain on the left side of my chest when i inhale. the deeper the breath i take the more pain i experience.
any idea’s what this could be? i’m only sixteen years old so i’ve hopefully ruled out the possibility of it being a heart attack :/
A: Has the pain been constant or has it been pangs for the last half hour?
Sounds like precordial catch syndrome. Completely harmless.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precordial_catch_syndrome
It typically happens to people in your age group and sometimes younger. I’m older and I get it too, but rarely.
I definitely don’t think it’s any sort of inflammation, infection or anxiety attack though. It may be stress related, but what you’ve described is PCS to a T.
I agree with another answerer, it’s always good to have things looked at. You’re way too young to have a heart attack!
Q: Pain on left side of my stomach, then it moved to middle of my stomach?
Yesterday, I woke up in the morning after using my com for a short while, i start to feel sharp pain on left side of my stomach. I thought i was hungry so i went out to eat. However even after i ate the pain still remains. The pain lasted about 10s. Then today i thought the pain would be gone, however when i wake up today, the sharp pain moved to middle of my stomach. Same the pain lasted about 10s. Anyone knows what happen to me.
A: See a doctor ASAP. I think it might be appendicitis.
Typically, the first symptom is pain around your belly button. The pain may be vague at first, but becomes increasingly sharp and severe. You may have reduced appetite, nausea, vomiting, and a low-grade fever.
