Q: How come energy drinks cause me stomach pain?
When I have an energy drink my stomach/abdomen feels a sharp pain that lasts for about 4 hours, why? (I don’t drink them anymore)
-I am not sensitive to caffeine
-Soda for the most part doesn’t have any negative effects
When I had a Mountain dew Voltage it caused the same sharp pain but much less severe. (also the only soda that has caused this)

A: All the medics and nutritionists say targeted weight loss is unlikely, especially in the waist and belly areas, but I achieved it with acai berry. I realize they say that pills don’t work, but they sure worked for me, and they have been showcased on the Rachael Ray Show too. There is a free trial going on currently at http://coritn.myslimmingonline.info , try it out, what’s the worst that could happen?

Q: Which are the best effective tablets to relieve stomach pain ?
Which are the best effective tablets to relieve stomach pain ?
What would you recommend ?

A: That depends what it is that’s causing the pain.

Q: How to know if dog is having stomach pain?
My dog swallowed a shirt button which fell on the carpet. However, the button was recovered in its stool. But the button had blood on it, when it passed through his stool. So i’m worried if it damaged his intestines inside.

I took to the vet and he said since the button passed through stool there is nothing to worry about it. He also said if dog has stomach pain i should immediately bring him back.

Now I realize i failed to ask the vet how to know if dog is having stomach pain. Since dog cannot speak like human, what signs tell you dog is having stomach pain?

A: Animals are designed to hide their ills and pains. If your pet is showing you that he is not feeling well, then it is a significant problem that is worth investigating further.

Some signs that may indicate pain include: Restlessness, reluctance to sit or lay, tensing of the abdomen, or (less obvious) fast heart rate [normal depends on size; small dogs are generally between 120 - 150 beats/min, larger dogs 80 - 120] or respiratory rate [normal for dogs is normally 10 - 30 breaths/min at rest].

When in doubt, it is always better to consult with your veterinarian.

–Note that the above answer is informational and opinionated only. It would not be possible to give sound medical advice pertinent to your pet without seeing her.

Q: Why do sodas sometimes relieve stomach pain?
This seems counter intuitive to me. Based on what I understand is going on in the stomach I would expect sodas to increase pain, but often, they actually relieve it.

A: It really does not like pepsi cola and dr.pepper really mess with the stomach. If it was ginger ale it helps because it has ginger in it.
everything you love makes life worth living.

Q: What could this unbearable stomach pain be?
I’ve been getting lower stomach pain and its unbearable, I can’t even stand up or move because it hurts so much. I thought it could be period pain but I normally only get lower back pain on my period and my periods not due for another 2 weeks. What else could it be?
The pain is all over and it has put me of eating so I havn’t eaten. I havn’t got a fever though and I’m not vomiting. Thanks for your answers.

A: It could be many things. You should talk to your doctor about it. Make a list of all the symptoms you may be feeling that way when you go in for your appointment you will be better prepared, wont forget and it will help the doctor a lot in helping you reach a diagnosis.

When I saw your title all I could think of was Crohn’s or UC. I have Crohn’s disease and after visiting 10 different gastroenterologists for 3 years I was finally diagnosed. By that point I was malnourished, weighed 85lbs (3 years before I was 120) and had to have 12 inches of my intestine removed because the disease had progressed for so long.

You should always listen to your body. Pain is your body’s way of telling you that something is wrong. Too many of us think that we are too busy to take the time to care for it. We will take our car to the mechanic when we hear a clonking noise. But when it comes to our bodies we wait until the pain has gotten to the point where we cant even stand. Go see your doctor right away with a list of all of your symptoms and how long you have experience this. Wish you the best.

Q: What would cause stomach pain, back pain, and digestion problems?
My husband thought he got food poisoning from a street food vendor 3 weeks ago and still feels horrible. He is complaining of stomach pain when he eats and even when he hasn’t eaten, also body aches especially in his lower back around the kidney area. I’ve asked if it is on one side or the other, but he says it’s all over. He looks horrible today and just wish he would call the doctor, but he’s stubborn. Have any of you ever heard of something like this happening from food? What he ate from the street vendor was a seafood gyro during a festival in our town. He gets sick from them every year, but loves them anyway. He has never gotten sick like this before.

A: diabetes causes kidney problems, avoid sugar.

Q: What does lower stomach pain after sex mean?
My boyfriend and I had sex tonight and after wards I had terrible lower stomach pain. We’re monogamous and the only people we’ve ever had sex with. We had sex for about an hour, then we stopped. We ate dinner in bed then we had sex again. The minute he entered me it started hurting, but I figured the pain would stop. About halfway through, it hurt so bad I was crying and hyperventilating within 5 minutes of stopping.
Has anyone else had this problem?? It hasn’t ever happened before, and I’m really curious as to what it is.

A: Honestly I have no idea what this means because I have been asking my doctor this same question every time I go see him. But if you find out please let me know.

Q: What could be the reason for my stomach pain?
A little embarrassing but I have to ask someone. For a couple of nights I have been awaken by strong stomach ache and diarrhea. My stomach hurts much that I have not been getting any sleep lately because it is such a torture to try falling asleep with that much of pain.

I have not changed my diet recently ( usually breakfast, lunch and dinner and plenty of water). anyone else experienced anything similar?

A: it may be a touch of irritable bowel sindrome?

if not a few question to ask yourself?

do you excersise?
do you eat late at night?
do you add enough fibre in your diet?
do you eat fruit after a meal? (should not mix this !!)
are you having spicy foods?
how much sodium are you having? (salt)

it sounds like you are dehydrating, maybe increase the amount of wate, reduce salt, and eat only before 6.30pm, and excersise more than an hour after eating or an hour before eating,

Q: Why do i keep getting this stomach pain?
I’ve had a stomach ache for the last three days off and on throughout the day and i wash just wondering if it was just a pain or something a bit more serious. I really haven’t been under that much stress lately so i don’t think thats it.

A: You gotta add alil bit more detail like if you have diahrrea, throwing up.. might be something you ate… but im not a doctor perhaps you should go see ur family doctor if it doesnt stop hurting tomorrow or if it gets worse.

Q: Is it normal to have this kind of stomach pain in early pregnancy?
I don’t know how far I am I just found out, but my stomach is already starting to pop a little bit. I have pain on the outside of my stomach if that makes any sense. In various pinpointed spots it comes and goes. I don’t understand why. Is this normal?

A: yes it normal to have pain in early pregnancy

Q: What causes increased thirst, decreased appetite, and stomach pain?
I’m hungry but I can’t eat anything, and the pain in my stomach makes it difficult to breathe deeply or stand up straight

A: Hi,
I may sound nuts, but are you constipated?
Now you don’t have to go every single day. If you used to go 5x a week and now go 2-3 you would no doubt be constipated. To be honest I don’t really want to give some answers that I am not sure of. I don’t know how long you have been like this, or how old you are. You DO need to see your doctor very quickly. It might not be serious, but the pains, and trouble breathing means you NEED to go to the doctor like today. If you can’t go in please go to an ER. See if you have a fever too. Are you feeling bad in other ways? Like depression or nerves?
It could be anything or almost nothing, but you will feel better knowing.
Best of luck!

Q: Why do I have stomach pain in the lower right side?
My stomach has had pain on and off since yesterday evening. Shortly after it started my right leg was hurting. When I went to bed I could hardly move. I also felt as if I were going to vomit. Today it is not as bad, but have no energy and my body is shaking somewhat. I still fell as if I may vomit. I do not know if this will help but I am 17 and am not pregnant.

A: Three possibilities come to mind: appendicitis, sever intestinal obstruction, hernia. All of those require a prompt visit to the doctor or ER.

Q: What does my husbands stomach pain mean?
He went to the hospital and had a sonogram and found nothing was wrong with his gallbladder even though he fit all the symtoms. The doctors say they cannot find anything wrong. But he is also sick to his stomach! I am so fusterated because he is in pain all the time! He is dizzy and weak. He never had the best of health, and I am getting worried. Can anyone help me?

A: Get a second opinion! Keep going until you get some help/relief. You can have “referred” pain, which means you feel it one place even though it actually originates in another.

Q: why do i feel stomach pain when my girlfriend is out clubbing and im home studying for tomorrow’s exam?
why do i feel stomach pain when my girlfriend is out clubbing and im home studying for tomorrow’s exam?

A: Because you know she’s blowing some guy in his car by the end of the night…?

Q: How to get rid of stomach pain?
I irritated my stomach with vomiting, because some medicine was not agreeing with me. I was getting up nauseate. Then my stomach got irritated from the vomiting. I tried to eat but the food would not stay down, so I ate light. I ate broth and crackers and then I ate the chicken noodle soup. Soon as I ate the chicken noodle soup, I got a fullness near my diaphragm area or upper stomach. The Nexium is not helping at this time. I started feeling that pain in my upper stomach.
What to do?

A: what i feel ill, i just try to take a nap and lay on my stomach because when you put a small amount of pressure on your stomach it seems to help. Im very sorry!
